Admission process

We aim to make your admission smooth, respectful, and safe—from booking to discharge.

Emergency cases: come directly to our Emergency Department, 24/7. Triage will prioritize urgent care. Insurance pre-authorization can be completed after stabilization.

1) Booking / referral

Your doctor may book a bed or write a referral. For elective admissions (surgery, maternity, etc.), confirm your date with our Admissions Desk.

2) Pre-authorization

If insured, bring your card and ID for benefits verification and pre-authorization. For SHA/SHIF or private pay, our team will guide you on coverage and co-pays.

3) Registration

Provide identification and complete consent forms. A wristband will be issued for patient safety and correct identification.

4) Admission & orientation

You’ll be shown to your ward/room, oriented to visiting hours, meal times, and nurse call systems. Your care team will introduce themselves.

What to bring
